JR Tokai announced that it will operate extra trains on the Tokaido Shinkansen on August 15th.
Due to the approach of Typhoon No. 7, the company has announced the possibility of planned service suspensions and long-duration operational suspensions on August 16th and 17th. In response, it is calling for passengers to alter their travel plans to the days before or after.
The extra train, “Nozomi 446”, will depart from Shin-Osaka Station at 6:09 p.m. and arrive at Tokyo Station at 8:36 p.m. The train will operate with all reserved seats, and reserved seat Express tickets will be available for purchase from August 14th at the start of business hours through EX Service and at ticket counters at JR stations nationwide.
