ANA Introduces Cooling Fan Vests for Ground Handling Staff and Mechanics as a Measure Against the Scorching Summer Heat
WestJet Airlines announced its efforts to resume operations of 16 planes damaged by the hail that hit Calgary on August 5.
The process of procuring specialized equipment and materials, as well as completing repairs and inspections, is expected to take several weeks. Over 10% of the airline’s fleet is affected, impacting an average of 50 flights per day.
In order to minimize the impact, WestJet has taken various measures, including adding flights operated by WestJet Encore and Canadian North.
