JR Kyushu to Hold ‘Hinokuni’ Revival Express Tour Between Kokura, Yatsushiro, and Hakata Stations
JR Kyushu will hold a tour called ‘Travel on the Revival Express “Hinokuni” with Series 811 Unrefurbished Cars’ on September 15.
The ‘Hinokuni’ express was a regular express train that ended its operation 20 years ago. It will be run as a revival express using one formation of four cars of the Series 811 vehicles that were operated at the time. The train will use unrefurbished cars equipped with rotating cross seats. The tour will be held in two parts: from Kokura to Yatsushiro Station and from Yatsushiro to Hakata Station. For the down trip, a bento box will be provided, and for the return trip, snacks will be offered. Participants will receive a commemorative hard-ticket and an original clear file.
The travel price is 13,800 yen for Kokura to Yatsushiro Station, and 10,800 yen for Yatsushiro to Hakata Station. There is no child price available. Sales start on the website from 9:30 a.m. on August 9.
