Lufthansa Introduces ‘Allegris’ Cabin to Munich-Shanghai/Pudong Route, Marking its First Launch in Asia

Lufthansa German Airlines began deploying its new cabin specification, ‘Lufthansa Allegris’, on the Munich to Shanghai/Pudong route from August 14.

This follows its introduction on the Munich-Vancouver, Toronto, and Chicago routes, making it the first route in Asia to receive the service. Lufthansa has also announced plans to introduce it on the Munich-Montreal route.

The ‘First Class Suite Plus’ offers a suite about 1 meter wide, featuring temperature control to suit the user’s preference. It allows for smartphone connection to the in-flight entertainment system. The suite provides complete privacy with walls and doors extending to the ceiling.

The new Business Class features five types of seating, developed by Thompson Aero Seating. The ‘Suite’ in the front row, with high partitions and sliding doors, ensures privacy. The center seats can be adjusted for two people, creating a space suitable for a pair. The monitors offer 4K resolution on a 27-inch screen.

Although seats other than those in the front row do not have doors, the staggered arrangement provides a sense of privacy. The ‘Extra Space Seat’ in the center row, with desks on both sides, is suited for business use. The ‘Extra Long Bed’ offers a 2.2-meter-long bed, the ‘Privacy Seat’ ensures privacy on the window side, and the ‘Classic Seat’ faces the aisle.

The ‘Privacy Seat with Baby’ for travelers with infants is located at the window in the last row. It allows for the placement of a baby bassinet next to the seat and is close to a restroom equipped with a diaper changing table. The ‘Double Seat’ in the center of the last row provides ample space for a pair, with a partition that can be lowered.
