Choshi Electric Railway has acquired a second set of the Nankai Electric Railway’s Series 2200 trains on August 16.
The first set was received in August 2023, marking the introduction of the first new vehicle in about 8 years and a one-owner used vehicle for the first time in approximately 30 years. It has been operating as the “Senior Motorcar” Series 22000 since March 29 this year.
For the introduction of the second set, Keio Heavy Machinery will conduct remodeling work. It is necessary to adjust from the overhead line voltage of 1,500 volts (V), used by Nankai Electric Railway, to 600V used by Choshi Electric Railway.
