Toki Air has issued a statement in response to reports that its affiliate, TOKI Aviation Capital, improperly received subsidies from the Sado City Employment Opportunity Expansion Project, stating that it is acting in accordance with laws and regulations.
The Asahi Shimbun Digital reported that the Cabinet Office is investigating suspicions that TOKI Aviation Capital inappropriately received subsidies, considering ordering the repayment of the full amount, approximately 8 million yen.
TOKI Aviation Capital received an introduction to the subsidy from Sado City and stated it is acting in accordance with laws and regulations. “We will continue to follow the instructions of the relevant authorities and take the necessary actions as required.”
