Hotel Nikko Osaka will be offering a ‘Halloween Afternoon Tea Set’ from September 1 to October 31.
The set features sweets and savories in the spirit of Halloween, using autumn flavors such as sweet potato, chestnut, and pumpkin. Highlights include a ‘Mont Blanc’ using ‘Beni Haruka’ sweet potatoes from Takeda Farm in Kyoto, which won ‘Sweet Potato of the Year’, a ‘Monaka Florentine’ densely packed with sesame seeds hiding behind a Jack-o’-lantern-shaped monaka, and a ‘Millefeuille’ layered with hazelnut vanilla cream and purple sweet potato cream. For savories, a ‘Brioche Burger’ filled with BBQ pork and a ‘Razor Clam Salad’ with raspberry sauce are provided. The original drink is a mix of tropical syrup and Ronnefeldt’s flavored tea ‘Mango Dream’, created to evoke the image of a full moon night.
The venue is located on the 2nd floor ‘Lobby Lounge’. It’s available in two shifts: from noon to 2 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The price is 6,000 yen (tax and service charge included) and it’s available from 1 person. An original drink will be served one per person.
