Hawaiian Airlines to Expand Starlink Installation, Completion by Q3 for A330 Fleet
Hawaiian Airlines has announced plans to expand the equipment installation for SpaceX’s satellite communication service, Starlink, and aims to complete the installation on Airbus A330 aircraft by the third quarter of this year.
The installations have already been completed on all 18 of its Airbus A321neo aircraft and 25% of its Airbus A330 fleet. The equipped aircraft are marked with stickers near the doors. The service is free of charge and allows for streaming services among others. It will be available on routes between Hawaii and the US mainland, as well as the Cook Islands, including all Pacific routes.
Hawaiian Airlines quotes, “The response to free high-speed Wi-Fi has been positive and becomes a compelling choice for passengers.”
