Air Astana targets the launch of its Almaty-Tokyo and Almaty-Astana-Atyrau routes around the spring of 2026. The agreement includes JAL-operated routes from Tokyo to Sapporo/Chitose, Nagoya/Chubu, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Okinawa/Naha.
Air Astana, a Kazakhstan-based airline founded in 2001, is the largest airline group in Central Asia and the Caucasus region, operating a fleet of 54 aircraft.
