Fuji Dream Airlines Introduces ‘Shimanekko’ Livery on its 7th Aircraft
Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) will commence operations of its 7th aircraft, an Embraer E175 with the registration JA07FJ, named ‘Shimanekko’, in early September.
The aircraft naming ‘Shimanekko’ comes as a celebration of the 15th anniversary since the debut of both the Shimane Prefecture tourism character ‘Shimanekko’ and FDA. Shimane Prefecture acquired the naming rights for the 7th aircraft, naming it as such. The contract period extends until March 31, 2025.
The rear window frame of the aircraft features a design with ‘Shimanekko’ wearing FDA pilot and mechanic uniforms. This marks the first time FDA has operated an aircraft with illustrations adorned on the window frames. Advertisements will also be displayed on the seat headrest covers.
