Cathay Pacific Airways plans to return its operation levels to those before the pandemic by the first quarter of 2025.
All aircraft that were stored will be brought back into operation. By the end of the year, the group plans to increase its workforce by 5,000, bringing the total number of employees to 29,000.
Currently, Cathay Pacific Airways and Hong Kong Express Airways serve over 80 cities. This year, they will initiate flights to 10 new cities, and by 2025, they are expected to serve a total of 100 cities.
The performance for the first half of 2024 announced net profits of 3.6 billion Hong Kong dollars. The previous year’s same period showed 4.8 billion Hong Kong dollars, with a decrease in profit due to the normalization of airfare prices.
