COMAC Delivers First C919 Aircraft to Air China and China Southern Airlines
Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has delivered the first C919 aircraft to Air China and China Southern Airlines.
Air China’s configuration includes 8 seats in business class and 150 in economy class, totaling 158 seats, while China Southern Airlines’ configuration consists of 8 seats in business class, 18 in premium economy class, and 138 in economy class, totaling 164 seats. Both fleets are equipped with personal power outlets. The three companies worked together on the aircraft selection, production supervision, personnel training, and preparation for operation.
To date, COMAC has delivered nine C919 aircraft. China Eastern Airlines operates five routes with these aircraft, with the number of flights exceeding 3,600.
