Tokaido Shinkansen Suspends Service Between Tokyo and Nagoya for the Entire Day
Due to the heavy rain caused by Typhoon No. 10, JR Central has announced the suspension of the Tokaido Shinkansen service between Tokyo and Nagoya stations for the entire day.
Between Nagoya and Shin-Osaka stations, additional temporary “Kodama” trains stopping at each station will run approximately two trains per hour in both directions, all with unreserved seats only.
Furthermore, service will also be suspended for the entire day between Mishima and Nagoya stations tomorrow, August 31st. Between Tokyo and Mishima stations, and between Nagoya and Shin-Osaka stations, additional temporary “Kodama” trains stopping at each station will run approximately two trains per hour in both directions, all with unreserved seats only.
