Starlux Airlines is set to launch a new route between Taichung and Phu Quoc on October 27.
The service will operate one round trip per day using Airbus A321neo aircraft. The flight time from Taichung is 3 hours and 55 minutes, and from Phu Quoc, it is 3 hours and 35 minutes.
This route is currently served by VietJet Air with three round trips per week. With this addition, the number of routes from Taichung will expand to include Macau, Takamatsu, Da Nang, and now Phu Quoc.
In addition, from September 1, the equipment for the Taipei/Taoyuan-Phu Quoc route will be upgraded to the larger Airbus A330-900.
