Hotel InterContinental Tokyo Bay Hosts Wagyu Fair Featuring ‘Kumamoto Akaushi’ Beef from September 1st
Hotel InterContinental Tokyo Bay will host a Wagyu Fair from September 1st to November 30th, featuring the rare ‘Kumamoto Akaushi’ beef.
Utilizing the rare brown cattle that make up about 1.3% of Japan’s Wagyu breeding population, the appetizer will include a taste comparison of burgers made from ethical ‘Kumamoto Akaushi’ and ‘Kumamoto Kuroge Wagyu’. The main dish will feature loin of ‘Kumamoto Akaushi’. In addition, the dinner course will be served with a grilled lobster complemented by a cream sauce arranged with handmade miso from Marukichi Soy Sauce in Aso Takamori Town; and to conclude the course, a chicken and egg bowl using Kumamoto’s ‘Amakusa Daio’ chicken and ‘Koshihikari’ rice nourished by the famed waters of South Aso.
The venue is “Teppanyaki Shokunin” located on the first floor. The lunch service is from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with last orders at 2:30 PM. Dinner is served from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, with course last orders at 8:00 PM. Prices are 23,100 yen for the lunch course and 37,950 yen for the dinner course, both inclusive of tax but exclusive of service charge.
