Japan Airlines (JAL) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries have begun joint exploration in the aircraft aftermarket business.
By integrating JAL’s expertise as both domestic and international aircraft operators with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ knowledge as an aircraft manufacturer including MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), they aim to address various issues in the aftermarket business such as repairs, maintenance, parts supply, and modifications after the aircraft is manufactured and sold.
Within the JAL Group, JAL Engineering, responsible for aircraft maintenance, will spearhead the joint exploration.
