JAL Introduces a Special Livery Aircraft to Celebrate the Opening of Donkey Kong Country at Universal Studios Japan
JAL Completes Independent Inspection of Airbus A350-1000 Aircraft; A350-900 Also Under Examination
Japan Airlines (JAL) has completed the independent inspection of the engines of all five Airbus A350-1000 aircraft.
The inspections were initiated after an incident involving a Cathay Pacific flight, CX383 from Hong Kong to Zurich on September 2nd, which returned mid-flight due to issues discovered with engine parts on the Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, registration number B-LXI. This led to the examination of the engines on all Airbus A350 aircraft.
In addition, despite different engine models, the A350-900 aircraft have also undergone inspections, with no issues found in 10 out of 15 aircraft. The remaining five are scheduled for inspection today.
