Hong Kong Express Airways will open a new route between Hong Kong and Penang on November 21.
There will be one round trip per day, using Airbus A320 aircraft. The flight time is 4 hours from Hong Kong, and 3 hours and 55 minutes from Penang.
This marks Hong Kong Express Airways’ first venture into Malaysia. Penang is popular with tourists for its UNESCO World Heritage site, George Town, the Penang Hill nature reserve, cuisine, scenery, and year-round warm climate.
Besides Hong Kong Express, this route is also operated by Cathay Pacific Airways and AirAsia, making Hong Kong Express the third operator.
