Finatext Holdings Revises Plans for Travel Booking and School Group Trip Cancellation Insurance
Finatext Holdings has revised its “Travel Booking Cancellation Insurance” and “School Group Trip Cancellation Insurance” plans.
The insurance premiums for domestic trips have been reduced by approximately 33% for “Travel Booking Cancellation Insurance” and by about 13% for “School Group Trip Cancellation Insurance”. Additionally, the coverage conditions for contracting influenza have been expanded to include up to six days prior to the trip date. For “Travel Booking Cancellation Insurance”, trips with only minor participants are now coverable, with guardians being able to apply on their behalf.
“Travel Booking Cancellation Insurance” covers the full cancellation fees for trips, including hospitalization, death, outpatient treatment of the insured or companions, death of relatives, nursing or care of relatives, pregnancy, childbirth, death of pets (dogs and cats), damage to houses, sudden business trips, jury duty appearances, delays in transportation, car failures, evacuation instructions, and now also covers cancellations due to contracting the novel coronavirus or PCR testing. It applies also to reservations for accommodations, transportation, and rental cars. The insurance premium varies depending on the trip cost, and for a domestic trip costing 50,000 yen per person, the premium is 1,890 yen, and for overseas trips, 2,780 yen.
“School Group Trip Cancellation Insurance” is a specialized cancellation insurance for school group activities such as school excursions, forest schools, seaside schools, field trips, and study trips, catering to groups of 10 or more people. It covers death, hospitalization of participating students, death or nursing of relatives, house collapses, evacuation orders, and designated infectious diseases. Parents and students can join voluntarily. The insurance premium varies depending on the trip cost, with a domestic trip costing 50,000 yen per person costing 830 yen, and overseas trips, 1,180 yen.
