WestJet Group is to lease three Boeing 737-8 aircraft from SMBC Aviation Capital.
The company had announced that it would lease a total of six Boeing 737-8 aircraft from BOC Aviation and AerDragon Aviation Leasing Company (a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China).
This move is aimed at avoiding the impact of delays in the delivery of directly ordered aircraft.
