Sumitomo Mitsui Card will be making partial changes to its ‘Student Points’ benefits, specifically the interest-free installment feature.
Student Points offers full point rebates equivalent to the fees for using installment payments or pay-later installments on eligible Sumitomo Mitsui Cards targeting students. However, from December, early repayment will no longer qualify for additional points.
Other benefits include additional rebates on regular points, with a maximum of +9.5% for payments on eligible subscription services and up to 1.5% for mobile phone charges for every total expenditure of 200 yen (tax included).
