Turkish Airlines is set to inaugurate its Istanbul-Kuala Lumpur-Sydney route on December 4.
Flights from Istanbul will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while flights from Sydney will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, making it a total of four round trips per week. The flights will be serviced by the Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The flight duration from Istanbul is 19 hours and 15 minutes, and from Sydney, it is 21 hours and 35 minutes.
The aim is ultimately to operate it as a direct flight. In New South Wales, where Sydney is located, there are over 15,000 Turkish expatriates residing.
