The Royal Park Hotel is offering two types of afternoon tea, Western and Chinese.
At the first-floor lobby lounge “Fontaine,” a “Halloween Afternoon Tea” is being served. The menu encompasses a dark cherry mousse and red grape jelly representing ominous eyes with longan and blueberry, and a black sesame shortcake inspired by a werewolf, among others. It also includes 16 types of free drinks, including Smoky Tea. This is available from October 1st to 31st, for 7,590 JPY per person.
In the basement-level Chinese restaurant “Keikaen,” a “Chinese Halloween Afternoon Tea” is served. The menu features pickled radish representing a witch’s broom, a panda manju transformed into Frankenstein, a ghostly gyūhi castella, and a spider web pudding made from pumpkin, along with a selection of six types of Chinese tea including black tea (Yunnan Pu’er tea) and blue tea (Dongding oolong tea).
The duration for this is from October 2nd to 30th, Wednesdays to Sundays, and on October 14th. It is limited to 16 people for lunch and 10 people for dinner per day, and reservations are required by 5 p.m. two days in advance. The price is 8,222 JPY, including tax and service charges.
