Japan Airlines (JAL) is revising the handling of “JAL Dynamic Package Travel Coupon Rewards” in its hometown tax donation service, “JAL Hometown Tax Donation.”
Starting from donations made on or after October 1st, only one coupon of up to 50,000 yen per group per trip will be available for use, and it will not be possible to combine this with other discount coupons.
For donations made until September 30th, up to three coupons per group per trip could be used, and it was possible to combine these with other discount coupons.
This change is in accordance with the revision of the local product standards for hometown tax donations notified by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. In all cases, the travel expenses must exceed the coupon value, and the discount does not apply to optional plan fees.
