Jetstar Airways is expanding its operations in Perth. It is introducing new aircraft and establishing a crew base.
On September 2, its domestic flights were relocated to Terminal 2. The international flights depart and arrive at the adjacent Terminal 1, making it possible to transfer between flights on foot, thus enhancing convenience for connections.
On September 6, the Perth-Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi route will be launched, operating up to four round trips per week. This expansion will increase Jetstar’s Asian routes to three, including Perth-Singapore and Perth-Phuket lines. From Singapore, it connects to 17 routes of Jetstar Asia Airways, including destinations such as Colombo and Okinawa/Naha.
The newly established base will be home to 60 pilots and four Airbus A321LR aircraft.
