Vietnam Airlines to Launch Hanoi-Milan Route on July 1, 2025
Vietnam Airlines will inaugurate the Hanoi-Milan/Malpensa route on July 1, 2025.
The route will be operated three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, utilizing the Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The flight duration will be 11 hours and 40 minutes from Hanoi and 11 hours from Milan.
With this new route, Vietnam Airlines will expand its European network to include nine routes, connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Paris, Frankfurt, and London. The airline is also considering launching a Ho Chi Minh City-Milan route after 2025.
Vietnam and Italy established diplomatic relations in 1973 and a strategic partnership in 2013. Vietnam is Italy’s largest ASEAN trade partner, while Italy is Vietnam’s fourth-largest trading partner within the EU. This will be the first direct flight connecting the two countries.
