Swiss International Air Lines and Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) have expanded their partnership to include 4 more cities to their network.
The partnership, which began in 2019, has gone from a 5-year plan to being extended indefinitely. Additionally, Coire, Davos, Klosters, and St. Moritz in the canton of Graubünden have been added to the ‘SWISS Air Rail’ network as of October 2.
The service originally commenced between Zurich Airport and Basel and has now expanded to 21 cities. Rail services can be used the day before or the day after the flight, and offer connection guarantees in case of delays, as well as the possibility to earn miles. First and Business class passengers can enjoy first-class service on the trains as well. Demand is expected to increase by about 15% this year.
