Hoshino Resort RISONARE Guam is hosting an ‘Ube Fest’ from September 21 to November 30.
Ube is a type of purple yam harvested in the Micronesian islands, including Guam. The purple extract derived from ube is utilized in various dishes and desserts.
The cafe ‘Bayview’ on the lobby floor offers the ‘Ube Monster Burger,’ featuring layers of purple ingredients such as specially made purple buns, ube croquette, purple cabbage, and red onion. The price is $35 (service charge not included) with sweet potato.
The breakfast buffet offers a daily changing ube menu for $30 (service charge not included). At the ‘Gupot Kanton Tasi (Beach Party)’ held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, grilled ube is served, exclusively for staying guests at no cost.
