Nagoya Railroad, together with Sumitomo Mitsui Card, JCB, Nippon Signal, and QUADRAC, is expanding its boarding service using credit card touch payments and QR codes on the Nagoya Railroad.
Currently, the service is available at Chubu International Airport, Meitetsu Nagoya, and Kanayama stations, and from October 1st, it will be expanded to include Higashi-Okazaki, Jingumae, Koumiya, Meitetsu Ichinomiya, Shin-Kisogawa, Kasamatsu, Meitetsu Gifu, Inuyama, Chita Handa, and Nishio stations, bringing the total to 13 stations.
Passengers can board and alight by touching their corresponding cards or smartphones to the dedicated readers installed at automatic ticket gates and manned gates, or by scanning a QR code.
