Guam Visitors Bureau Showcases Chamorro Dances and Sells Chamorro Burgers at Tourism EXPO Japan 2024
The Guam Visitors Bureau is participating in the “Tourism EXPO Japan 2024,” currently being held at the Tokyo Big Sight.
At the booth’s stage, Chamorro dances, a traditional Guam dance, are showcased. Additionally, following their official social media accounts will get you an original eco-bag. Moreover, at a food truck near the booth, they are selling the “Chamorro Burger,” made with beef shank, vegetables, and coconut cooked Chamorro style tinaktak, and the “Chamorro BBQ Bowl” utilizing BBQ chicken and Chamorro cuisine’s red rice (each for 500 yen). The booth is located in the East 2 Hall, R-137.
“Tourism EXPO Japan 2024” is open until September 29th. The expo is open to the general public on September 28th and 29th, from 10 AM to 6 PM (until 5 PM on the last day). September 26th and 27th are reserved for industry business meetings, and general admission is not allowed. General admission tickets on the day cost 1,000 yen, while students can enter for free.
