Lufthansa Group has appointed Mr. Felipe Bonifatti as Vice President in charge of Joint Ventures for Asia-Pacific and Eastern regions.
Based in Singapore, he will lead commercial activities in the Asia-Pacific region, including sales of joint ventures, starting November 1st.
Born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, and holding dual Argentine and Spanish nationality, Bonifatti graduated from a German language school in Mar del Plata and earned a bachelor’s degree in law from a national university, as well as a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Belgrano.
He joined the Lufthansa Group in 1992 and has held senior positions in Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean region. After being appointed General Manager for Equatorial Guinea and São Tomé and Príncipe, he was promoted to General Manager for Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, where he was awarded the Alexander von Humboldt medal by the Colombian Congress. Later, as General Manager for Central America and the Caribbean, he successfully launched the Group’s first business in Central America. Currently, he serves as Senior Director for South America and the Caribbean, based in São Paulo, Brazil.
