JTB (Japan Travel Bureau), the Hawaii Tourism Authority, and Meet Hawaii have entered into a partnership agreement aimed at attracting business events to Hawaii.
Due to the impact of a weaker yen and rising prices, there is ongoing recovery in the demand for business events. The purpose of this partnership is to strongly promote recovery in both Japan and Hawaii. The agreement will last for three years, starting from January 1, 2025.
The collaboration includes efforts to attract corporate meetings, international conferences, and corporate incentive and training trips. As part of this initiative, a ‘JTB Ambassador Program’ will be established to acquire specialized knowledge and expertise in hosting business events in Hawaii. In addition, JTB will develop value-added content unique to their services and initiatives for cultural exchange programs.
