All Nippon Airways (ANA) will temporarily suspend sales of the shochu ‘Murao (in ANA original packaging)’, for flights scheduled up to and including December 31.
The suspension comes as sales are expected to reach the planned quantity. Details regarding when sales will resume will be announced as soon as they are decided.
The product is exclusively available through the international flight pre-order service, and can be ordered from the 22nd day of the month prior to the flight up until 3 days before the flight date (Japan time). The price is 4,200 yen, and purchases are limited to one bottle per person.
‘Murao’ is a shochu produced by Murao Distillery in Kagoshima Prefecture, established in 1902. It is one of the hard-to-obtain shochus, often traded at premium prices.
