Cathay Pacific Airways Unveils New Premium Economy on Boeing 777-300ER
JAL to Deploy Airbus A350-1000 on Tokyo/Haneda-London/Heathrow Route, Starting October 24 with Alternating Day Service
Japan Airlines (JAL) will introduce the Airbus A350-1000 on the Tokyo/Haneda to London/Heathrow route starting from October 24.
For the time being, the flight will operate on an alternating day basis. The flight duration is 14 hours and 5 minutes from Tokyo/Haneda, and 14 hours from London/Heathrow. This marks the first time the Airbus A350-1000 is being deployed on European routes.
The Airbus A350-1000 is JAL’s new international flagship aircraft, succeeding the Boeing 777-300ER as the mainstay of international flights. The aircraft is equipped with 239 seats across four classes: First Class with a ‘1-1-1’ layout of 6 seats, Business Class in a ‘1-2-1’ configuration of 54 seats, Premium Economy Class in a ‘2-4-2’ arrangement of 24 seats, and Economy Class in a ‘3-3-3’ layout of 155 seats. First and Business class feature the airline’s first-ever closed suite design with sliding doors. In-flight Entertainment (IFE) systems across all classes include 4K resolution monitors and allow for Bluetooth pairing with wireless headphones.
JAL plans to have a fleet of eight Airbus A350-1000 aircraft within this fiscal year.
