Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi Offers Santa Maria Novella Afternoon Tea Until November 30
The Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi is offering the “Santa Maria Novella Afternoon Tea” from October 1 to November 30.
Inspired by the fragrances of Santa Maria Novella, the world’s oldest pharmacy, the tea includes five sweet and five savory items.
Menu highlights include a choux pastry inspired by the flowers and buds growing in the hills of Tuscany, filled with diplomat cream and flavored with bergamot and lavender honey, pistachio; and a vanilla mousse paired with an almond crème brûlée, fig and rose jelly, capturing the sour-sweetness of Tayberry and figs, and the elegance of rose.
Also available are savory items like the broccoli flan with bergamot coulis and ricotta cheese and cucumber jelly with pink pepper, designed to evoke the jasmine growing mysteriously in the greenhouses of the Medici family, with jasmine flowers represented by ricotta cheese and broccoli flan.
The tea is served at “THE LOUNGE” on the 39th floor, in three sessions: 11 AM to 1 PM, 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, and 4 PM to 6 PM, with the last order for drinks taken 30 minutes before closing time. Prices are 8,800 yen for the 11 AM and 1:30 PM sessions on weekdays, 7,800 yen for the 4 PM session, and 9,800 yen for weekends and holidays, inclusive of tax and service charge.
