AIRDO Offers Unique Rewards Including a Chance to Observe Maintenance and Passenger Service Operations through Its In-House Pilot Training Crowdfunding
AIRDO is adding more rewards to its crowdfunding campaign for the Lakseløp Project, the company’s in-house pilot training program.
The Lakseløp Project is AIRDO’s first in-house pilot training program. Trainees undergo training abroad for about two years and domestically for about one year. Both the trainees and AIRDO share the cost of training. This crowdfunding campaign to support the program is running until October 21.
For 15,000 yen, the “Feel and Support: Departure and Arrival Flight Send-off Experience (New Chitose Airport)” course allows backers to choose between observing the maintenance work from the arrival to the departure of a flight or watching the passenger service operations from the door opening of an arriving flight to the door closure of a departing one. Both experiences allow backers to bid farewell to the flight from the passenger restricted area. This reward will be available from January to March 2025.
Other rewards include “Pilot-led Air Traffic Control LIVE Commentary (Online at Haneda Airport)” for 15,000 yen, “Flight Simulator Experience with a Pilot” for 45,000 yen, along with rewards in collaboration with Somès Saddle, ACE Luggage, and Ishida Bookbinding.
“Lakseløp” is a Norwegian word that refers to salmon migration, symbolizing the expectation that trainees, like the salmon going out into the world from Hokkaido, will grow significantly and eventually return and contribute to Hokkaido.
