JAL and J-AIR to Conduct Pilot Job Experience Program for Students
Japan Airlines (JAL) and J-AIR are jointly conducting a pilot job experience program.
The purpose of this program is to deepen understanding of aviation operations and the aviation industry through the job experience of in-house trained pilots. It introduces the specific duties of a pilot and the flow of a day’s work, as well as the sense of mission and commitment to safety held by pilots, and how to cooperate with colleagues to achieve a safe flight.
The target participants are university students, graduate students, and students of specialized colleges (advanced courses), regardless of year, major, or discipline. Freshmen and sophomores, as well as those who have already applied for JAL’s pilot job experience program this year, will participate in the J-AIR-only job experience. Participants can choose between face-to-face or online options.
The program is scheduled for one day between January 14th and 18th, 2025. The entry acceptance period is from November 1st to December 1st. A selection process will be conducted.
