HIS Announces Resignation of Director Hideo Sawada
HIS Opens ‘Malama Station’ at Hawaii’s LeaLea Lounge
H.I.S. has opened a ‘Malama Station’ at the LeaLea Lounge in Hawaii.
This initiative is based on the extension of a partnership agreement aimed at promoting ‘Malama Hawaii’ with the Hawaii Tourism Authority’s Japan office. From November 1 until February 28, 2025, four measures will be implemented to raise awareness about ‘Malama Hawaii’.
Beach cleanup kits will be loaned out for free, and those who return the collected microplastics to Malama Station will receive a one-day pass for the LeaLea Trolley. Reef-safe sunscreen cream will be provided for free. Discounts will be available for products and optional tours offered by local tour companies contributing to ‘Malama Hawaii’, and applicants will receive a picture book titled ‘The Dolphin and Mr. Turtle’s Plastic Adventure’. A 50% discount on the ‘Malama Hawaii’ experience tour, ‘Connecting through Aloha in Waikiki Walk’, will be offered to those who show any non-plastic item (eco-bag, my bottle, my straw, my chopsticks).
The location is on the third floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center B Building. The operating hours are from 1 PM to 6 PM.
