Japan Travel is offering the “tabiwa Discount Sanyo Shinkansen Hikari and Kodama Limited Plan” from October 3 to December 26.
This plan includes a one-way reserved seat ticket on the Sanyo & Kyushu Shinkansen’s Hikari or Kodama trains and a drink ticket worth ¥700 at selected cafes. It is available for booking from one person and can be booked up to 4 PM the day before departure. The applicable sections are between Shin-Osaka and Kokura/Hakata stations.
Travel fees start at ¥9,300 for adults and ¥5,250 for children for trips starting or ending in Kokura, and ¥9,800 for adults and ¥5,500 for children for trips starting or ending in Hakata. Drinks exceeding ¥700 or upgrading to Green Car on the Hikari trains can be purchased for an additional fee.
