DeNA SOMPO Mobility has announced that it will be ending its car sharing and rental service, ‘Anyca’.
The service will cease new member registrations at 3 p.m. on October 15. It will stop accepting new share reservations on October 31, and the service will be terminated on December 31.
Launched in 2015, Anyca was a car sharing service aimed at matching “owners” who wanted to share their car when it wasn’t in use and “drivers” who wanted to drive a car of their choice when needed, based on the concept of meeting the “wish to drive”. To date, 910,000 people have registered as members.
