Emirates is set to embrace the Airbus A350 aircraft by introducing full flight simulators integrated with a Pilot Support System (PSS).
The training package also includes fixed-base training devices, cabin emergency evacuation trainers, and door trainers, with an investment of roughly 48 million US dollars.
The PSS enhances the training experience, offering an immersive environment during the briefing phase for interactive flight planning and execution. Simulators allow for training based on preset scenarios, while the debrief mode provides the ability to replay records and assess performance.
Currently, training is underway for 30 pilots and 820 cabin crew members, aiming to complete training for 50 pilots by the end of November. The second simulator is in the acceptance stage and is scheduled to receive certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in November.
