“Espacio Nagoya Castle” Opening on October 1st: Former Nagoya Castle Hotel Reimagined
Hoshino Resorts is set to open a hot spring ryokan in Sharon Springs, New York State, in 2028.
Sharon Springs is an area where Native Americans utilized mineral springs for their healing properties, and it was developed into a resort destination in the mid-1800s. However, it declined as a tourist spot in the 20th century with the advent of air travel. It is approximately a three and a half-hour drive from Manhattan.
This will be the first time a Japanese hotel operator opens a hot spring ryokan in the United States.
