Tokyo Dome Hotel Launches Collaboration Rooms with Gintama from July 12 for One Year
HY Hospitality Enterprises Acquires Kobe Kitano Hotel
HY Hospitality Enterprises has acquired Kobe Kitano Hotel.
Kobe Kitano Hotel was sold in 2021 to a joint venture company between Kintetsu Group Holdings’ Kintetsu & Urban Hotels and the investment fund Blackstone.
The Kobe Kitano Hotel, which opened its doors in 1992, temporarily closed after the Great Hanshin Earthquake but resumed operations in 2000. Since then, it had been managed under a management contract by HY Hospitality Enterprises, established by Hiroshi Yamaguchi, the hotel’s General Manager and Executive Chef.
During Blackstone’s consideration of the sale, the brand built by Mr. Yamaguchi was taken into account, leading to the proposal that HY Hospitality Enterprises was the desirable buyer. The acquisition was made possible with the cooperation of Minato Bank and government financial institutions.
