United Airlines to Launch Tokyo/Narita to Koror Route in Summer 2025 Schedule
Emirates Resumes Dubai to Edinburgh Route, Initially Operates with 777
Emirates has resumed its flight operations from Dubai to Edinburgh starting November 4.
The inaugural flight was greeted with a warm welcome by the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo upon its arrival in Edinburgh.
The airline will operate one round trip per day. Initially, the plan was to use the Airbus A350-900 aircraft, equipped with 32 Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy Class seats, totaling 312 seats. However, due to delays in receiving the Airbus, the carrier will operate with Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
Scotland welcomed 4 million foreign tourists in 2023, a 23% increase from the previous year, contributing £3.59 billion to the economy. Emirates, serving over 140 cities including major markets like Australia and India with one-stop connections, is expected to significantly contribute to attracting tourists. Additionally, it is possible to transport up to 16 tons of cargo per flight, supporting the shipment of high-value goods such as salmon, shellfish, and whiskey.
This marks Emirates’ eighth destination in the UK. With the inclusion of Glasgow, served by the Airbus A380 with one round trip per day, the airline now operates 14 round trips a week to Scotland.
