Lufthansa Group celebrated the 65th anniversary of operations in Thailand.
The initial flight to Thailand was on November 1st, 1959, originating from Hamburg and passing through Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Rome, Cairo, Karachi, and Calcutta, which took almost two days of flight time.
Currently, Lufthansa German Airlines operates up to 31 round trips from Munich and Frankfurt, Swiss International Air Lines from Zurich, and Austrian Airlines from Vienna to Thailand. In October, the Airbus A380 was also reintroduced into the service.
