JR Kyushu Launches Collaboration Campaign with ‘Pikmin’ Featuring Pikmin Trains and Stations
JR Kyushu will be holding the “PIKMIN×JR KYUSHU – Explore the Enchanting Planet of Kyushu” project from December 7, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
In collaboration with the “Pikmin” series released by Nintendo Co., Ltd., this campaign includes the operation of ‘Pikmin’ wrapped trains known as “Pikmin Trains”, the decoration of a total of seven stations across various prefectures as “Pikmin Stations”, the execution of a stamp rally and events, and the sale of original merchandise.
The “Pikmin Trains” will feature the 885 series and 787 series express trains, each with one composition, and three BRT Hikoboshi Line compositions decorated with Pikmin both on the exterior and interior. The 885 series and 787 series will have gacha gacha machines installed on board for original merchandise. On December 7, a special express “Pikmin” train will operate between Hakata and Oita stations. The operation period for the 885 series will be from December 7, 2024, to mid-May 2025, for the 787 series from February 1, 2025, to early July 2025, and for the BRT Hikoboshi Line from December 14, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
