Centara Grand Hotel Osaka is serving a ‘White Christmas Afternoon Tea’ from November 1 to December 25, where guests can enjoy pure white sweets and savories on a three-tiered stand and a tree-shaped stand.
The treats include a ‘Snow Roll Cake’ wrapped in white sponge with white chocolate cream, a ‘White Strawberry Tree’ with a meringue-made white Christmas tree on a chocolate tart, a ‘White Vanilla Ornament’ vanilla mousse combined with coconut cream designed like a white ornament, and plain and salted rum raisin scones among others. The savory items, dressed in all white, feature ‘Eel Temari Sushi’ made with seared eel and sansho pepper, ‘Shirako Flan’, ‘Chicken Smørrebrød’, and ‘White Buri Daikon’ – layers of simmered daikon and yellowtail topped with marinated sliced radish, all incorporating winter ingredients. In addition, a Christmas-themed tree stand will showcase ornament-themed sweets like ‘Spice Cookies’ shaped like snowflakes, ‘Vanilla Madeleines’ coated in white chocolate, and ‘Ornament Cassis Cheese’ combining cassis and cream cheese.
