Air India has initiated the “Fly Prior” service, enabling passengers to switch to an earlier flight departing on the same day of their booked flight.
On domestic flights within India, passengers can change to a flight departing up to 12 hours earlier if there are available seats on the day of departure. Requests for changes can only be made at the airport’s ticketing and check-in counters, and additional services such as excess baggage and upgrades can also be transferred to the new flight.
The fee varies by route, with major city routes priced at 2,199 rupees and all other routes at 1,499 rupees. Flying Returns Gold and Platinum members can avail of this service for free.
