Qantas Group and CAE Launch Training Facility in Sydney
Qantas Group and CAE have opened the CAE Sydney Flight Training Centre.
The facility will train pilots from Qantas Airways and Jetstar Airways to meet demand over the coming years. Maintaining qualifications requires four simulator training sessions a year, and up to fifteen sessions for new equipment training.
The center is equipped with five full flight simulators, three fixed training devices, and ten classrooms. An Airbus A350 simulator will also be installed in the future to support the operation of Qantas Airways’ ultra-long haul Project Sunrise.
In 2021, Qantas Airways had relocated simulators to Melbourne and Brisbane as part of the Sydney Gateway road project by the New South Wales government.
