Kobe Portopia Hotel Introduces ‘mottECO’ Service for Taking Home Leftover Food
Kobe Portopia Hotel has introduced a new service in October called ‘mottECO’ that allows guests to take home food they ordered but couldn’t finish.
As part of its efforts to reduce food waste and environmental impact, aligning with SDGs initiatives, the service enables guests to transfer their leftover food into containers and take it home, under their own responsibility.
The restaurants eligible for this service include Shukeiyen, Tajima, SOCO, Kyo Wada, Kobe Tamura, SAKU, and Bellecour, excluding buffet-style and all-you-can-eat options. Only organizers are allowed to take food home from banquet style standing and seated buffets. An additional fee of 50 yen for the container applies. This service is not available during the summer months from June to September.
